Connections

The Connections page is where you can manage connections to 3rd party applications. Here, you can:

View your current connections

The “My Connected Accounts” pane shows any applications that you’ve connected to. (By “Connected Accounts”, we mean accounts in 3rd party applications). In addition to seeing which accounts you’re connected to, you can also change the connection settings, or remove a connection.

Add new connections

The “Add Account Connections” pane lists applications for which itDuzzit provides workflows to setup connections. If you’ve already connected to one of the listed applications, this will be indicated. (This list of accounts available for connection is growing over time – the screen print below shows the top several connection categories and connections as of early 2011.)

Connection setup varies depending upon the connection mechanism employed by the 3rd party application. Some require that you generate an API key in the 3rd party application and use this for the connection:

Add custom connections

If you want to connect to an application that isn’t listed, you can add a custom connection.

  • Site Name: A friendly name for display in your list of connected accounts.
  • Domain: The domain of the site / application to which you are connecting.
  • Username: The username of your account on the site / application to which you are connecting. (Depending upon the the site / application implements authentication, this may or may not be required.)
  • Password: The password of your account on the site / application to which you are connecting. (Depending upon the the site / application implements authentication, this may or may not be required.)
  • API Key: If an API Key is required by the site / application to which you are connecting, enter it here.
  • Custom Url: If the site / application to which you are connecting has a Url specific to your account, enter it here.
